-
VUT ES
Vivienda de Uso Turístico
Spain's national legal category for whole-unit short-term tourist rentals. Each autonomous community runs its own VUT registry on top — Andalucía, Madrid, Valencia, etc.
Guest-data submission systems
-
Hospedajes ES
Ses Hospedajes — Spain's guest-reporting endpoint
Common shorthand for SES — the Spanish guest entry system. Conforme files each booking automatically once Hostaway has captured the guest's ID.
-
INE PT
Instituto Nacional de Estatística
Portugal's national statistics institute. STR operators submit monthly occupancy + nights data here under the tourism survey.
-
SEF PT
Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras
Portugal's foreigners and borders service. Operates SIBA — the guest-reporting endpoint for STR check-ins. (Now subsumed into AIMA, but the SIBA filing endpoint retains the SEF name.)
-
SES ES
Sistema de Entrada de Viajeros (Hospedajes)
Spain's police-side guest entry system — formally Ses Hospedajes. Replaces the old paper hospedajes form; mandatory data submission within 24 hours of check-in under Orden INT/1922/2003 + RD 933/2021.
-
SIBA PT
Sistema de Informação de Boletins de Alojamento
Portugal's police-side guest reporting system. Every check-in must be filed within three working days; missed filings carry per-night fines.
Tax authorities
-
AEAT ES
Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria
Spain's national tax agency. Operates the WebService that receives periodic STR rental returns (Modelo 179) and is the destination for Verifactu-track invoice submission.
Platforms + industry
-
Hostaway
Hostaway — channel manager
Third-party channel manager for STR listings. Conforme reads bookings + guest details from Hostaway via webhook so guest-data filings can be dispatched automatically.
-
OTA
Online Travel Agency
Industry shorthand for the listing platforms — Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, etc. — through which STR units are advertised and booked.
-
STR
Short-term rental
Industry shorthand for furnished tourist accommodation rented for less than 30 days at a time. The exact day-threshold varies by jurisdiction.
Conforme internal vocabulary
-
ARR
Annual Recurring Revenue
Monthly Recurring Revenue × 12.
-
KEK
Key Encryption Key
Master encryption key used to wrap per-record data keys. Conforme stores guest passport scans encrypted under a per-org data key, which is itself wrapped under the KEK.
-
MRR
Monthly Recurring Revenue
The predictable monthly billing total across all subscriptions. Conforme bills €29 per property per month, so MRR = active properties × €29.
-
RLS
Row Level Security
Postgres feature that scopes every query to the operator's organisation, preventing cross-tenant data leaks at the database layer rather than in application code.
